- Mejillones: Mussels in Sauce

Ingredients:

Serves 4 as a first course, or two as a meal with bread and salad.  2 pounds of mussels, 8-10 minced garlic cloves, 1 glass of white wine, 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs, 1 jar of tomato sauce.  Olive oil.  **Follow safety instructions for mussels.

Preparation:

Wash the mussels well to remove salt and dirt.  In a large, deep pan fry the garlic in olive oil.  Add the other ingredients and bring to a boil.  Cook on low heat for twenty minutes.
